100 Women Who Care Haliburton County was launched in 2016 and is based on the simple concept of bringing women together to make a large impact on their community. 100 Women Who Care Haliburton County meetings are held three times a year where our members will raise over $10,000 for local charities in each of three one hour evenings. The women of our county are coming together to make a substantial financial impact on our community.

Our members also join with a minimal time commitment. 100 Women Who Care Haliburton meetings are only one hour. And in that one hour, we select a local charity. Members etransfer or write a cheque for $100. and in 1 hour over $10,000 is raised for that charity. No volunteering, no telemarketing, no event planning, no silent auction donations to solicit. Simply a great way to give back to our own community.

So how does it work?
Three local charities are drawn from a list nominated by our members 2 weeks before the meeting. A representative from each charity will have the opportunity to give a short presentation at the meeting. A vote is held and the chosen charity will then receive the total of the donations! So thus the concept, 100 women x $100 = $10,000. Can't make the meeting? Add your vote to an email or your etransfer. You must give your $100 to vote. At the next meeting, a representative of the selected charity speaks to the members regarding the impact their gift has made toward helping that charity fulfill its vision and goals.
Women may join as individuals or form a team of two members. All members complete a membership commitment form. All charities under consideration for the organization are nominated by our members and must operate within Haliburton County.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
